CAMPING MUNICIPAL DE BROWNSBURG CHATHAM
All The Blog

I've been visiting the Brownsburg Chatham Municipal Campground for a few years. It's a campsite that we love to visit outside the high season. In early June or at the end of September, most campsites close their facilities so we adapt our program. Biking, fishing and a little sightseeing is what we go for.

The Brownsburg Chatham Municipal Campground in the Laurentians, offers 247 sites, with and without services and is located 70 km from Montreal. The campsite will not dazzle you with its facilities that are modest but impeccable. No pool, no farm, no train for children! We go there to relax.

The sites are great. You won't feel stacked one on top of the others. If you're lucky you may have a site along the Outaouais River.

The area is a popular destination for cyclists. See the map VéloRoute Argenteuil to discover the points of interest near the campground and along this beautiful bike path located 2 minutes from the campground. Do not miss the Belvedere at the Carillon Hydroelectric Power Station. It is possible to visit the power station for free from May to August. For information, go to the website: Hydro-Québec

Bring your fishing rods because perch, bass and pike are sometimes at the rendezvous when fishing from the the dock.

The Brownsburg Chatham Municipal Campground is one of my favorite campground. For me, it's an ideal place to visit in the spring or fall. The only downside for us is that animals are not allowed. Since we now have a new member in our family, we might not go there in the future. If you go and visit this gem, please tell me about your experience!
