It sometimes goes through my mind to establish a small second home on a campround and stop moving around with the camper. I'm not quite ready. There's too many places to discover. But, I must say, that the facilities of Camping Vacances St-Tropez are attractive for stationary campers.

We spent labor day weekend at this campsite in Sainte-Béatrix in Lanaudiere. A campsite that deserves its 5 stars. It has everything! The swimming pool, the beach, the waterpark, the parks, the skate park, the BMX track, the giant trampoline and everything you can expect from a 5-star campground.

The sites are mainly occupied by seasonal campers; 440 seasonal sites versus 74 for travelers. I was charmed by the pretty, well-landscaped small roads of the seasonal sectors. Some fortunate even have facilities facing the lake. Community life is well established. The campground has 11 baseball teams competing throughout the summer in addition to well organized deck hockey tournaments. The daily schedule offers activities for both children and adults. For example, there is a one-hour time slot dedicated to adults at the pool. Why not?! The children can meanwhile fall back on the other pool and the water games. We like the idea even if it sometimes pouting toddlers. They are not left behind, believe me, they have plenty of activities offered to them.

The rules

To ensure harmony prevail on such a large campground, regulations oblige and the owners sees to it! I must admit that walking my dog in a stroller would not interest me but I dont have a dog for now! The regulations have the merit of being clear and you just have to read them and see if they suit you! At first glance it does not seem abusive but I heard that there is little tolerance at camping St-Tropez for the campers not falling in line. It's up to you to decide if you like it or not.

The sites

The most beautiful sites are the two services sites. They are wooded, intimate and well located. If however you prefer to have the conveniences of the 3 services, opt for the sites 69 to 88. We were camped in the new section (terrains 433 to 444) well appointed but not wooded. The grounds are impeccable but the freshly planted trees do not yet offer privacy.

In short

Located 1:15 am from Montreal, Camping Vacances St-Tropez offers a friendly holiday experience and a large choice of activities for the family. The traveler sites availability is limited so book early. We appreciated the cleanliness of the premises and the facilities! We were impressed by the multitude of activities offered and included in the price of the stay. We would like to see our friends on all fours walk on a leash on the site rather than stroller!
