While in Ontario in the Thousand Islands region, we had to visit the famous Pumpkinferno exhibition at Upper Canada Village. This is a spectacular outdoor exhibition featuring 7,000 illuminated hand-carved pumpkins along a one-kilometer path in a picturesque 19th-century setting.

During a walking tour of about 1 hour, you will discover sets on different themes, each being represented by several carved pumpkins that assemble to create a scene. Of course, real pumpkins won't hold for an event that lasts a month. Artists use artificial pumpkins. The experience is no less magical!

BONUS: dogs are allowed on the Upper Canada village site!
